Robert J. Wang, PhD. – CEO
Dr. Wang is a serial entrepreneur, with over 20 years experience in telecom, mobile Internet and marketing. Dr. Wang co-founded Taral Networks (now Airwide Solutions) in 2000 where he served as its VP Engineering, Chief Scientist and APAC channel sales executive. Airwide Solution is a leading mobile messaging and Internet supplier to over 120 operators in 48 countries. As its APAC sales executive, Dr. Wang helped ramping up revenue 16 folds in one year. In 1999, Dr. Wang pioneered the first generation SMS and WAP value-added services at Saraide Inc (acquired by InfoSpace for $435M), deployed to carriers globally. Prior to that, Dr. Wang worked at Nortel Networks (Canada) as a senior architect and Bristol University (England) as a research officer. Dr. Wang is also a founder and CEO of Double Insight Inc, which has successfully marketed innovative consumer products in US and Canada in collaboration with major Chinese brands.
Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. & M.Sc. in Computer Science & Expert Systems from Essex University, UK, and B.Sc. from Nanjing University, China. He holds 5 US/EU patents with more pending.
Randy Zadra – Co-Founder & Board Member
Mr. Zadra is co-founder and Board Member of Ace Sensor Inc. and is responsible for the company’s overall business strategy and business development. He was previously vice president for the Americas in Washington DC with Teleglobe International, (acquired by BCE Inc. for $4.3B) where he was responsible for sales to major corporate customers such as CNN, AOL/Time Warner, Yahoo, Google, and NBC. He also served as COO with Orblynx, an internet content distribution company. Mr. Zadra is also a visiting fellow at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge MA where he lectures, and is a judge for the MIT 100K business plan competition. He also co-founded Integris Management which seeds high growth transformative technology companies.
Mr. Zadra has an MA from Carleton University, and has also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab and Sloan School of Management.
JunFei Peng – CTO
Mr. Peng is co-founder of Ace Sensor Inc. and is responsible for the company’s overall technical development and product strategy. Mr. Peng co-founded zPark Information Technology Co.,Ltd. in Beijing, China. zPark Information Technology provides mass data transfer solutions over internet, which is based on unique real-time data transfer protocol designed and developed by Mr. Peng. zPark’s technology was deployed commercially in massive real-time content delivery services in over 20 countries. Prior to that, Mr. Peng worked at IBM Japan Systems Engineering Co., Ltd. (ISE) in Japan as an IT specialist. IBM Japan (ISE) is an engineering services organization that is responsible for deploying leading-edge technology knowledge and systems to all IBM family companies in the Asia Pacific area.
Mr. Peng has a BSc. from Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan.
Lei Xia – VP of Industrial Design
Mr. Xia is a co-founder of Ace Sensor Inc. and is responsible for industrial design and hardware R&D. In 2004, Mr. Xia co-founded EIKA Technology in Beijing China. EIKA and its value added reseller partners provide EIKA’s holistic IT solutions to over 160 enterprises in various industries. At EIKA, Mr. Xia was in charge of the hardware integration and technical support for over 5 years. Prior to that, Mr. Xia worked at NEC Electronics (today’s Renesas Electronics) in Beijing as a senior engineer, where Mr. Xia designed industrial ASICs and SOCs widely used in DSC solutions.
Mr. Xia holds a B.Sc. from Harbin Institute of Technology, China.
Hongwei Tang – VP of Software
Mr. Tang is a co-founder of Ace Sensor Inc. and is responsible for software R&D overseeing mobile applications as well as cloud computing capabilities. Before this, Mr. Tang worked at Fujitsu Ltd as a team leader and technical consultant delivering many mission critical software to large financial institutions in Japan.
Mr. Tang has a M.Sc. in Information Science from JAIST, Japan, and a B.Sc. in Network Science from Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan.
